August 2009 When I thought about Bali, I thought beaches, waves, and sunsets- well that will have to wait for our second visit! We based ourselves with friend, Cori in Ubud in the mountains and did a couple sightseeing trips from there to see a volcano, many holy water temples, the monkey forest, and we did make it to a beach for sunset:) I was amazed at the vibrancy of Bali! Much of life outside of tourism seemed dominated by religion and rice fields and the people are sincerely so nice, we were there for a week and were invited to a village ceremony and a wedding! Enjoy the pics... there will definitely be more of Bali someday...

July 9-10th 2009 Our 1st Anniversary spent in Kyoto seeing many awesome sites including; Tenryu-ji in Arashiyama, the Hozu River, Kiomizu-dera, Kodai-ji, KwanonTribute, Maruyama Park, and the Jishu Shrine for a touch of good fortune in marriage.

First stop: Fushimi-Inari Shrine, Kyoto.
